Providing an alternative solution to having buckets collect condensate from industrial air conditioners on the factory floor.
Example:
Many brands of industrial enclosure air conditions do not have an active condensate management system which results in buckets being placed beneath the A/C to collect condensation.
- The buckets become a trip hazard or slip risk if the condensate is not empty continuously.
- The condensation can be mixed with oils or chemicals in the air making it more difficult to dispose of.
- Emptying the buckets uses up maintenance resources that can be better spent on other projects.
Condensation Management
The first step in condensation management is making sure the Air conditioner is set properly for the internal temperature of the enclosure. In most applications the temperature of the enclosure should be set to 95°F (35°C). This optimizes the life of your electronics and reduces condensation as well as energy costs. Setting to lower temperature results in the A/C running more often with little payback to the life of the electronics.
Condensation Solution
Pfannenberg offers an external active condensate management system, that when liquid is sensed the PTC heater will heat-up to burn off the condensate. The condensate tray is mounted under a unit and connected by the condensate hose.
- Easy installation with voltage range of 110 - 250 VAC
- The heater only activates when liquid is present to save energy costs.
- Eliminates the need for buckets reducing risk of trips, slips and maintenance costs.
