Understanding the difference between IP54 filter mats and IP55 fluted filters
Pfannenberg provides a choice of two filter options for filterfans: IP54 filter mats and IP55 fluted filters. Both effectively remove dust and contaminants from the air, but the fluted filter offers superior protection against certain airborne particles such as cement dust.
The IP55 fluted filters have a larger surface area compared to the IP54 filter mat due to their unique accordion shape. This design provides more pathways for air to pass through the filter, increasing airflow and allowing for better filtration of dirt and debris. As a result, these filters offer an extended lifespan, making them a durable and effective choice for maintaining air quality.
All of Pfannenberg's filterfans will come with the IP55 fluted filter by standard (except for PF 11000) and can be ordered in packs of 5.
