Terminal/Transformer Tap (Internal Jumper)

Steps for Transformer Tap Adjustment 400v/460v DTS 3xxx Series Cooling Units

All DTS 3xxx 460V units use a transformer to reduce the voltage to 230V for the control voltage. The primary side of the transformer allows the user to connect to either 460V(standard) or 400V. To simplify this process a jumper plug has been added in the electrical compartment. Factory wiring has been prewired to both taps on the primary side of the transformer. In order for the choose the correct voltage the jumper should be placed between the common location (incoming power) and the desired voltage tap. See pictures below for reference.

Only qualified personnel should attempt to perform this task.

Steps for changing the incoming voltage:

  1.  Disconnect main power to the unit.
  2. Remove the service cover from the unit.
  3. Remove the voltage jumper plug.
  4. Identify what location the Jumper is [1+3] = 460V Jumper [2+3] = 400V. Move the jumper pin to the appropriate Jumper location. This can be completed by releasing the cage clamp connection in the connector.

  5. Replace the Jumper plug.

  6. Re-connect main power to unit.
