To understand the X54; Doorswitch & Fault Signal Connection in DTS 3000 Series and PKS 3000 Series
X54 Connection
The X54 terminal connection is utilized for two purposes:
Fault Contact
Terminals 1 and 2 of this connector are a Normally Open circuit that will close while the unit is connected to power and not in a fault condition.
Conditions that will cause the fault contact to change state include:
• Loss of power to the unit
• Activation of high-pressure switch in the refrigeration circuit
• Alarm temperature set on the control board is reached
• The temperature sensor is defective or has not been detected
Door Switch Terminals
Terminals 3 and 4 of this connector allow for a voltage regulated switching terminal for door contact switch/power disconnection.
If a door contact switch has not been connected, the connection contact terminals 3 and 4 must be jumped.
DTS 3021/31/31 SS and 30X1 series units' door contact is supplied with high voltage, the fault contact is unavailable. Terminals 1 and 2 are utilized for door switch connection
